A former factory worker from Italy who has become TikTok’s fastest-growing content creator.
He is also well-known for having the internet’s second most-followed account. Mr. Lame has millions of followers on Instagram and other social media platforms in addition to TikTok.

His early posts were mostly in Italian, with Italian subtitles; sometimes Lame spoke in his native, northern-accented tongue. But it was the wordless, expressive reaction clips — poking fun at forks turned into spoons with tape or defending the sanctity of Italian pizza from a video that proposed Sour Patch Kids toppings —that have catapulted Mr. Lame to international stardom. “It’s my face and my expressions that make people laugh,” Mr. Lame said in an interview on the anniversary of the Italian Republic’s birth. He described his muted reactions as a “global language.”

Mr. Lame’s content is also ideal for “meme page bait,” which means that many meme pages download his TikTok videos and repost them on Instagram for easy engagement, or they use his face for reaction images. His videos are frequently reposted on Twitter, where they spread further.
