The New PSL Anthem Receives Mixed/Negative Reactions

PSL anthem “Agay dekh” released:

On Monday, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) released the anthem for the seventh edition of the marquee tournament, the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Atif Aslam, Aima Baig, and Abdullah Siddiqui star in the much-anticipated anthem “Agay Dekh.”

The PCB shared the official video of the anthem on its official Twitter handle, writing: “The wait is finally over. The official #PSL7 anthem is now available.

audience reaction after the release of PSL 7 Anthem:

After the release of the PSL 7 Anthem, the audience had mixed feelings because they were expecting something similar to previous PSL anthems such as “Groove Mera and Seeti bajegi stage sachega.”

The much-awaited PSL anthem did not appear to please everyone. Fans immediately drew comparisons between Atif Aslam and Ali Zafar, debating who performed the anthem better.

We spotted various comparison memes on Twitter, and here are a few of them.

Last year’s PSL anthem Groove Mera, which featured Naseebo Lal, and this year’s by Fawad Khan drew a lot of flak, however, some tweeps who were dissatisfied with PSL 2022’s Agay Dekh are now stating Groove Mera was a better anthem.

Meanwhile, meme-makers had some amusing responses to the PSL hymn.

Have a look at them here:

Although both Atif Aslam and Aima Baig are unquestionably the best, the choice of singers for this Agay Dekh seems to be a mismatch.

Though it’s for the first time Atif is singing for PSL.

So, after seven seasons of the Pakistan Premier League, which PSL anthem do you believe is the best?
